Conflict Resolution

Conflict Resolution

Conflict can take many forms and appears in all areas of people's lives. Some conflict if managed properly, has a positive impact. However, much conflict leads to negativity, a breakdown of relationships, stress, anxiety, depression and other health issues.

Conflict is best managed at an early stage, but the issues can be unpicked and dealt with at any point during a dispute. Here at FLAN, we aim to avoid the need for people going to court, and try and show that most forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) are hugely more effective at dealing with the issues and bringing about positive change.

We work with the Mediator Network to provide mediation (a form of  ADR) and other conflict management and prevention services. If there is a dispute, this can usually be resolved in this way, and outcomes are decided by the parties not the court or lawyers.

We have agreed a preferential service with the Mediator Network to help people on low incomes resolve their disputes for low fees, and for free where appropriate. For more information about the services provided by the Mediator Network, please visit their site.
